Women’s Premier League 2023: BCCI seeks bids for partnership rights after title sponsor rights

Women’s Premier League 2023: On Friday, the BCCI accepted bids for the official partnership rights, more than a week after issuing invitations to find title sponsors for the WPL 2023. The partnership rights bids were described in a statement issued by the Indian Board. WPL’s inaugural season will start on March 4.

The BCCI issued a statement saying, “The BCCI seeks offers from renowned businesses for securing official partnership rights for Women’s Premier League.” Further information on the bid procedure is included in the “Request for Quotation,” which will be made available after payment of INR 1,000,000, it added.

BCCI had previously announced that invitations for sponsorship rights were released. “The Women’s Premier League Seasons 2023–2027 Title Sponsorship Rights Request for Proposal has been released, according to BCCI. The BCCI is seeking offers from reputable companies for the Women’s Premier League Seasons 2023–2027 championship sponsorship rights “The Indian Board had said previously. The “Request for Proposa” for sponsorship rights could no longer be purchased after February 9, 2023.

A complete list of players featured in WPL auctions was recently made public. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Indian Board identified the 409 players who would be auctioned off on February 13th, 2023. Notably, the Board also stated that the WPL’s inaugural season will begin on March 4th.

“The Women’s Premier League will hold its maiden season in Mumbai from March 4 through March 26, 2023. The main competition will be held at the Brabourne Stadium and D.Y. Patil Stadium, where a total of 22 games will be contested. There are 409 cricketers on the list for the Women’s Premier League Player Auction, which will take place on February 13th, 2023, at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai “BCCI reported.

In the meantime, INR 50 lakhs is the maximum reserve price set for players in the WPL auctions. The top 24 bidders are all players, and there are many Indians on the list as well. The only other Indians in this category are Shafali Verma, who led India to victory in the Under-19 T20 World Cup, Smriti Mandhana, and Team India Captain Harmanpreet Kaur.
