Since the event serves as qualifiers for the World Athletics Championships 2025, the top 14 men’s and women’s teams will secure an automatic berth for Tokyo. This edition also introduces a new category in the mixed 4×100m relay, an event that is set to debut at the Los Angeles Olympics 2025.
