World Darts Championship 2024-25: Know How Much The Winner Will Earn

The PDC World Darts Championship 2024-25 is nearing its culmination at the  Alexandra Palace in London. 

The competition began on Sunday, December 15 and will witness the summit clash on January 3.

Luke Littler, who stunned the world by qualifying for the event months ago, remains favourite to win the PDC World Darts Championship 2024-25 but faces stiff competition from the likes of Peter Wright.

Last year’s champion, Luke Humphries, suffered a shock defeat to Wright at the last-16 stage and therefore, making way for a new Sid Wadell Trophy winner.  The trophy is named in honour of famed darts commentator Sid Waddell.

What is the prize money at the World Darts Championship 2024-25 ?

The World Darts Championship carries the highest prize fund in the sport. The total prize pot for the World Darts Championship 2024-25  is a whopping  £2.5 million  which is significantly more than the reward on offer at the Grand Slam of Darts in November.

The winner of the World Darts Championship will earn £500,000 in prize money which is the same amount as the past two years.

The losing finalist takes home £200,000, while players who lose in the semi-finals are rewarded with £100,000, and those who only make the quarter-finals receive £50,000 each.

Even at round three of the competition, players are rewarded £25,000 if they lose, while they get £35,000 if they lose in round four. The first and second round come with rewards of £7,500 and £15,000, respectively.

Semi-Final: £100,000

Quarter-Final: £50,000

Fourth Round: £35,000

Third Round: £25,000

In addition to that, Paddy Power will reward players a whopping £60,000 for every nine-dart finish they secure – with further prize going to a lucky punter and charity.
