In an impressive match, the top-ranked pair of Pramod and Sukant defeated the Indian duo of Deep Ranjan Bisoyee and Manoj Sarkar to secure the gold medal in the men’s doubles category. The duo dominated their opponents throughout the match, leaving no room for a comeback.
With a final score of 21-17 and 21-17, both Pramod and Sukant displayed exceptional form and executed shots that proved too difficult for their rivals to return. However, Pramod faced a tough challenge in the singles match against England’s Daniel Bethell, resulting in a 21-8 and 21-10 defeat. Pramod acknowledged the need for major improvements in order to overcome such strong opponents and expressed his commitment to working on his weaknesses during training.
In the mixed doubles, Pramod and Manisha Ramdass faced a formidable duo from Indonesia, Hikmat Ramdani, and Leani Ratri Oktila. Despite putting up a tough fight, they couldn’t secure a victory, with the final score reading 17-21 and 17-21.
On the other hand, Sukant Kadam showcased his skills in the singles category and secured a bronze medal, fighting hard against Indonesia’s Fredy Setiawan in the semifinals.
