Stunned at the end of the match when it landed with a bang in the Super Over, with UP Warriorz having set a target of 8 runs in front of RCB, while the latter needed 9 runs to win. After a remarkable batting inning, UP assigned the Super Over to Sophie Ecclestone.
All eyes rested upon her. Ecclestone with the bowling, had no variation but only bowled to deliver mega pressure, giving 5 runs against her name in her 6 deliveries.
RCB batters could not handle the pressure put on by Ecclestone’s tight bowling as they could only manage 5 runs in the Super Over chase. Congratulations to UP Warriors on a historical win: they edged past the defending champions in an exhilarating finish with the Super Over.
