WrestleMania 41: 4 Big Mistakes In Las Vegas

WrestleMania 41 was one of the most talked-about WWE shows in recent years. Held in Las Vegas, it had 14 action-packed matches, six title changes, a shocking twist by Seth Rollins, and a surprising appearance by TNA Champion Joe Hendry. The two-night event gave fans plenty of big moments to cheer for, but not everything went as expected.

Behind all the cheers and bright lights, some things didn’t work out the way WWE had hoped. From last-minute changes to missed moves, let’s take a look at what went wrong at WrestleMania 41.

1. Last-Minute Injuries Shook Up WWE’s Plans

Just weeks before the big event, Kevin Owens had to step away due to injury. And right before Night 1, Rey Mysterio also pulled out. Both stars were set for important matches – Owens against Randy Orton and Mysterio against El Grande Americano.

Their absence forced WWE to act quickly. Joe Hendry replaced Owens, and Rey Fenix stepped in for Mysterio. Though both newcomers did well, fans still felt disappointed not seeing the original line-ups. It’s hard not to wonder how amazing those matches could’ve been.

2. A Few Botches Took Away the Shine

Even the best performers can make mistakes, and WrestleMania 41 saw a few. While most moves were executed perfectly – like LA Knight’s mid-air BFT and Americano’s high-flying splash – some moments didn’t go as planned.

Tiffany Stratton had a rough match, suffering a chipped tooth and a visible bump on her head during her battle with Charlotte Flair. Other small slip-ups happened too, but the wrestlers kept going like pros. These moments reminded us that even on the biggest stage, anything can happen.

3. Some Booking Choices Left Fans Confused

WWE fans are passionate, and they don’t hold back when something feels wrong. WrestleMania 41 had a few storylines that didn’t sit well with the audience.

For example, many were upset about how Bayley was removed from the show without much explanation. And though Jey Uso got a huge cheer when he won the World Heavyweight Championship, his match quickly received thousands of dislikes online. It shows that crowd reactions in the arena don’t always match the feelings on social media.

4. The Rock’s No-Show Left Fans Disappointed

One of the biggest letdowns was The Rock not showing up. After playing a key role in John Cena’s heel turn at Elimination Chamber 2025, many believed The Rock would return to shake things up at WrestleMania. But instead, rapper Travis Scott appeared and helped Cena win the match against Cody Rhodes.

The Rock’s absence caused a storm online. The hashtag #NoRock trended on social media, and many fans questioned if he was still serious about WWE. Whether he had a scheduling issue or creative plans changed, fans felt something big was missing in the main event.
