After AJ Lee’s shocking return on SmackDown, RAW wasted no time setting up her first official match in over a decade. The former Divas Champion had a fiery exchange with Becky Lynch before asking for a tag team bout. WWE quickly made it official a mixed tag team showdown is coming at Wrestlepalooza, just under two weeks away.
But while RAW gave fans plenty of action and surprise moments, it also left viewers scratching their heads with some questionable booking choices. Here are the top mistakes from the latest episode of RAW.
Penta’s Losing Streak Continues
Despite being one of the most exciting stars on the roster, Penta suffered another tough loss, this time against Rusev. Just last week, he had picked up momentum in a six-man tag match with The War Raiders, but that victory was erased almost immediately.
The booking didn’t make much sense, since both Rusev and Penta should be building momentum, not canceling each other out. Even worse, outside distractions from The New Day and Grayson Waller tilted the match against Penta. Fans are beginning to wonder if WWE knows how to fully utilize his popularity.
The Vision Ignored on RAW
RAW featured plenty of big names Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk, AJ Lee, Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, LA Knight, and The Usos but strangely, The Vision faction didn’t interact with each other at all.
For a group that WWE wants to present as a powerful unit, ignoring their chemistry on TV makes them look like separate superstars with no connection. In the past, Judgment Day was given regular backstage clubhouse segments to keep their bond strong. The lack of group presence for The Vision makes their faction feel flat.
Heroes Keep Losing
The latest RAW featured five matches, but only one was won by a babyface AJ Styles defeating El Grande Americano. Even that came after outside interference.
Every other contest saw heels take the victory, with shady tactics and outside distractions playing a role. From Asuka’s sneaky use of Kairi Sane to Roxanne Perez interfering in Raquel Rodriguez’s win, the show leaned heavily toward making the villains look strong.
With nearly every champion already a heel, the constant losses for fan favorites make RAW feel one-sided. Without more balance, the product risks frustrating viewers who want to cheer for their heroes.
No Stephanie Vaquer Before Wrestlepalooza
One of the biggest mistakes of the night was leaving out Stephanie Vaquer, who is scheduled to face IYO SKY at Wrestlepalooza. Fans were expecting a contract signing segment, but General Manager Adam Pearce revealed it was canceled because Vaquer wasn’t in town.
While travel issues may have played a role, WWE’s decision to leave her off TV just two weeks before a huge title match was disappointing. Since winning her title shot at Evolution 2025, her presence on RAW has been inconsistent. Skipping another episode only hurts her momentum.
