Over the years, only a few WWE stars have managed to win the Royal Rumble more than once. Names like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Charlotte Flair sit on that special list. Last year, Charlotte made history by becoming the first woman to reach two Rumble wins.
As the 2026 Royal Rumble gets closer, the big question is simple. Should another former winner repeat the moment, or is it time for fresh faces to take the spotlight? This year feels perfect for new stars to rise, which is why some past winners should stay out of the winner’s circle.
Top Women Who Should Not Repeat

Charlotte Flair already won the Women’s Royal Rumble in 2025. If she wins again, she would become a three-time winner. With such a deep and talented women’s division, that spot could be better used to push someone new into the main event scene.
Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair have also had big WrestleMania moments in recent years. They do not need another Rumble win right now. Giving the victory to a fresh name would help create a brand-new title story and keep the division feeling exciting.
Two-Time Winners Who Do Not Need a Third

Cody Rhodes already went back-to-back in 2023 and 2024 and recently finished another run as Undisputed WWE Champion. A third Rumble win would feel repetitive. WWE has many strong options like LA Knight, Sami Zayn, and Bron Breakker who could benefit much more from that moment.
Randy Orton is a legend, but most of his big matches follow a familiar pattern. A Rumble win for him would not change much in the main event picture.
Brock Lesnar, on the other hand, is not a full-time star. Giving him the win would not help build the current roster, especially when active champions and rising names are ready for the spotlight.
Roman Reigns and the Part-Time Factor

Roman Reigns is always a major name in any match he enters. If he were to win the Rumble, it would likely lead to another long and familiar title story.
Fans have already seen years of Reigns in the main event. With champions like Drew McIntyre and CM Punk leading the show, a full-time star makes more sense for the Rumble victory. The road to WrestleMania should feel fresh, not like a repeat of past seasons.
Jey Uso Should Let Others Shine

Jey Uso won the Royal Rumble in 2025 and had a big year filled with ups and downs. While fan support has always been strong for him, his title run did not reach the level many expected.
Now that he is back in the tag team scene, it feels like the right time for another superstar to step up. A second Rumble win for Jey so soon would take away a golden chance for a new main event star to be made.
