WWE SmackDown June 13 Results: R-Truth attacked John Cena, CM Punk returned, Cody and Orton won big matches
The June 13, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown aired live from Rupp Arena, Lexington, Kentucky. This show used the aftermath of Money in the Bank to push its stories forward. The episode had drama, action, and surprises – CM Punk returned, John Cena spoke to fans, R-Truth attacked him, Randy Orton won his return match, and both King and Queen of the Ring tournament matches took place.
John Cena, Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, Tiffany Stratton, Naomi, and Miss MITB were already promoted for the show. This episode gave fans many unexpected moments.
R-Truth attacked John Cena, CM Punk made a surprise return
John Cena opened the show with a promo where he talked about his career, future, and WWE legacy. Cena said that no one was or will ever be bigger than him. He also announced a partnership with Logan Paul. But it didn’t stop there.
Cody Rhodes came to the ring and reminded Cena that he pinned him at Money in the Bank. When Cody asked “what’s next?”, Randy Orton entered and said he would go through Cody to face Cena. LA Knight also came out and said he was a misfit but would win King of the Ring.
Cena left quietly, but while walking up the ramp, R-Truth attacked him badly. He threw Cena to the ground and kept hitting him. Officials separated them, but the damage was already done. This was the most shocking moment of the night.
Randy Orton won the fatal-4-way in the King of the Ring tournament
Randy Orton returned with a big match where he faced LA Knight, Aleister Black, and Carmelo Hayes in a King of the Ring quarter-final. The match was fast-paced. LA Knight almost won, but Bronson Reed came out and attacked him. Then Bron Breakker also interfered and speared Knight.
Carmelo Hayes tried a quick pin, but Orton caught him with a flying RKO and won the match. Now Orton is in the semi-finals.

Jacob Fatu came out to talk to fans about his Money in the Bank performance. He also made it clear that he is not okay with Solo Sikoa’s leadership. Fatu said he won’t be part of the control that Solo is trying to run.
Solo Sikoa sent a video message and told Fatu that if he just says “I Love You Solo,” everything will be fine. But at the end of the message, Solo gave a warning — “The one who made it, can also destroy it.” This showed that there could be a big fight inside the Bloodline soon.

In a backstage segment, Piper Niven gave GM Nick Aldis a phone call where Chelsea Green asked to cancel her match. Aldis refused and said Alba Fyre would wrestle in her place.
In the same segment, Zelina Vega showed up and asked about Giulia. The GM confirmed that Giulia wasn’t at the arena but said “she’s watching everything.”
WWE SmackDown Queen of the Ring match: Jade Cargill won a tough match
Jade Cargill faced Michin, Piper Niven, and Nia Jax in a Queen of the Ring tournament match. Jade was not expected to win, but she shocked everyone.
Piper and Nia teamed up to attack Jade, but she fought back. She used her finisher, Jaded, on Nia Jax and pinned her. Jade Cargill is now in the semi-finals.
Naomi and Tiffany Stratton had a promo, Nia Jax returned and attacked
Miss Money in the Bank Naomi came to the ring and said she could cash in her briefcase at any time. Tiffany Stratton interrupted and called her an attention seeker. While they were talking, Nia Jax came in and attacked Stratton badly.
Naomi picked up her briefcase and quietly left the ring. This showed that Naomi is waiting for the right time to cash in.
Wyatt Sicks defeated Motor City Machine Guns easily
Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy fought Motor City Machine Guns in a tag match. Wyatt Sicks members Nikki Cross, Uncle Howdy, and Rowan were also at ringside. Joe Gacy pinned Shelley after a distraction. Wyatt Sicks continued to look strong.

Backstage, John Cena asked Jimmy Uso where R-Truth was. Jimmy didn’t say anything. Cena said if he sees Ron Killings, tell him, “Next week, I’ll be waiting.”

GM Nick Aldis confirmed that John Cena vs Ron Killings will happen next week on WWE SmackDown.
WWE SmackDown Results June 13: Alexa Bliss won her QOTR match, Charlotte Flair’s plan failed
Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Alba Fyre, and Candice LeRae had a Queen of the Ring fatal-4-way match. Flair controlled most of the match, but at the end, Bliss gave Sister Abigail to Candice and won the match.
CM Punk and Cody Rhodes had a heated talk backstage

CM Punk: “After Night of Champions, we’ll see who’s really doing the chasing.”

Backstage, CM Punk and Cody Rhodes finally faced each other. Cody said, “No matter how far we run from each other, a clash will happen.” Punk replied calmly, “After Night of Champions, everything will be clear.” They shook hands, but it didn’t feel friendly. This showed their rivalry is personal.
WWE SmackDown June 13 Main Event: Cody Rhodes won King of the Ring match
Cody Rhodes fought Damian Priest, Andrade, and Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event. It was a fast and intense match.
At one point, Cody crashed through a table but came back strong. He gave Cross Rhodes to Andrade and then pinned Nakamura. Cody is now also in the semi-finals.
