Dixieland Match: This unique match from TNA is a mix of steel cage and ladder matches, in which wrestlers must use ladders to climb out of the cage and reach the title belt.
Fight Pit Bout: In this match, the cage has no ropes or turnbuckles. Wrestlers can only win via submission or knockout, making this match a unique blend of MMA and wrestling.
Evolution of the Cage
The cage used in a steel cage match has changed over time. Initially it was designed like a chicken coop, then blue and black steel strips were used and finally metal mesh was used.
