As winter reaches its peak in the country, temperatures in the sports arena are soaring up. USA Aspen’s Buttermilk Mountain is set to host the world’s top freestyle skiing and snowboard athletes at the X Games 2025.
The Winter X Games returns to Aspen for the 24th consecutive year from 23-25 January.
The field will be headlined by several stars including Olympics champions Eileen Gu, Birk Ruud, Chloe Kim, Alex Hall, Mathilde Gremaud, Red Gerard, Hirano Ayumu, Anna Gasser, and Zoi Sadowski-Synnott.
Several rising stars are also in the fray yearning to leave their mark on the ice.
The event will provide these athletes an opportunity to build up momentum ahead of the Milano Cortina Winter Games 2026.
Among the events scheduled to take place will be women’s and men’s snowboard and freestyle skiing slopestyle, big air, superpipe, and a non-Olympic event, knuckle huck.
This three-day spectacle of winter sports action promises world-class skiing and snowboarding competitions paired with vibrant music and festival vibes. With the pre-Olympic season in full swing, many top athletes are arriving fresh from their standout performances at the Laax Open in Switzerland.
