Yuvraj Singh’s mother, Shabnam Singh, shared that a lot of young cricketers are a bit intimidated by him because he takes his mentoring role very seriously. She said:

A lot of people are scared of him like Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma. After their games are over, in the evening, he will call them and be like ‘what kind of shot did you play?. They get petrified of him.”

The BCCI has announced the latest list of central contracts, with Shubman Gill retaining his spot in Grade A. Abhishek Sharma has been added to the list for the first time, placed in Grade C. Notably, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan have also been included again after being left out last year.

This marks Abhishek Sharma’s debut in the BCCI central contracts list, following his impressive performances in recent T20Is for India, where he has already scored two centuries in the shortest format.
