The highly anticipated ZIM vs BAN Series will start in June 2026, with the Bangladesh national cricket team touring the Zimbabwe national cricket team for an all-format series consisting of one Test, three ODIs, and three T20s.

The tour is scheduled from June 28 to July 19. This will be the first international series at home for Zimbabwe in 2026.

ZIM vs BAN Series Schedule Announced

The first match of the ZIM vs BAN Series will be a Test match that will be held at Harare. Further, the ODI matches and T20I matches will be held at Bulawayo.

Bangladesh and Zimbabwe Renew Test Rivalry

The upcoming Test match in Harare will be 21st match between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in red ball cricket.

Bangladesh national cricket team and Zimbabwe national cricket team have played 20 matches against each other till now.

Bangladesh national cricket team has an upper-hand by looking at the overall record with a lead of 9-8 over Zimbabwe. Their last Test series was held in Bangladesh in 2025 and it was drawn 1-1.

It was also the first time Zimbabwe had won a Test match since their victory against Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi in March 2021. Their next win came in another Test match against Afghanistan at Harare in October 2025.

Zimbabwe Eye Strong Home Comeback

The ZIM vs BAN Series would become Zimbabwe’s first international series after their successful participation in the T20 World Cup which took place in India and Sri Lanka in 2026.

This year Zimbabwe were able to enter the Super Eight stage for the first time ever, majorly due to their victory against Australia national cricket team and Sri Lanka national cricket team.

In the home series against Bangladesh, they have a great opportunity to make a comeback and make their mark in all formats.

Bangladesh Return to Zimbabwe After Four Years

Last time Bangladesh toured Zimbabwe was back in July/August 2022. Although there was no Test cricket in that series, Zimbabwe managed to do well as they won the ODI and T20I series against Bangladesh in Harare 2-1.

Why the ZIM vs BAN Series Matters

The impending ZIM vs BAN Series is predicted to be very important for the teams’ future ICC tournament preparations. Due to the emergence of new talent from both sides and experienced players striving to make it into the team, there will be tough competition in Zimbabwean cricket.
