Spain’s top prospect Zozaya is on WWE’s radar – will he become the next global sensation?

Professional wrestler Zozaya, who hails from Spain, impressed the company with his performance in WWE’s recent tryouts. According to Fightful Select’s report, WWE has shown significant interest in signing him, and if all goes well as planned, Zozaya could be a part of the WWE roster by September.

Zozaya, who began his career in 2018 with White Wolf Wrestling based in Madrid, made a name for himself in multiple promotions in Europe in a very short time. He consistently upgraded the level of his game by stepping into the ring for big names like Progress Wrestling, Pro Wrestling NOAH, Fight Factory Pro Wrestling, and Revolution Championship Wrestling.

193 matches and 39 percent win rate – consistent performer

Zozaya’s in-ring record is also quite impressive. So far he has fought 193 matches, winning 76 (win rate 39.4%), losing 115 (59.6%) and drawing 2 (1.0%). 2024 has been his most active year so far, in which he played 92 matches and won 38 percent. This data clearly shows that he is constantly active in the ring and gaining experience.

He is also a champion now – he has the Irish Junior Heavyweight title

Zozaya is currently the Irish Junior Heavyweight Champion, which he won by winning a Grapple Games match in Fight Factory Pro Wrestling’s event held in Dublin on 16 May. In this match he defeated opponents like CBL, Fabio, Michael May, Omari and Renzo Rose.

Apart from this, he has also been Triple W Absolute Champion (2 times) and LLB Tag Team Champion (2 times), where his tag partner was Javier Vives, both their teams were named “Next Level”.

It has also been told in the report that Zozaya will complete his university in June, after which the process of his WWE contract can be accelerated. After the tryout, WWE is planning to onboard all the potential talents it has shortlisted by September.
