Match Report – Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal – 2021–22 FA Women’s Super League
In the 1st half, it was Arsenal that were the dominant side but they couldn’t convert their chances .The stats of the first 45 minutes show that they had nine shots out of which three were on target. In comparison, Spurs had none.
In the 21st minute, Vivianne Miedema had hit the ball low but a great save by the opposing keeper Tinja-Riikka Korpela denied a certain goal.
Then again, at the 26 minute, it was another close chance for Arsenal as Beth Mead’s free-kick touched the underside of the bar and bounced down before being cleared by Spurs players.
HT Score: Tottenham Hotspur 0-0 Arsenal
The opening goal of this encounter went in the way of the home side, as in 65th minute, Rachel Williams received a good pass in the box and scored off a deflection after her 1st shot was saved by keeper Zinsberger. With this, for the 1st time in this season Arsenal were trailing.

Soon after that, substitutions were made for Arsenal. They made two changes: Stephanie Catley came out for Nikita Parris and Frida Maanum was replaced by Jordan Nobbs.
In the 72nd minute, Spurs had a near chance to double their lead but Ashleigh Neville misses an open goal, something which they will rue later in the match.
But it was Miedema yet again who turned saviour for her team as she equalised for the visitors at injury time. She rose above everyone during a corner taken by her team, and denied their rivals a win. Tottenham were left to rue their missed chance to double the lead.
