It was another disappointing batting performance by the Sydney Sixers, despite choosing to bat first. A batting collapse, as they were 28/5 after the powerplay. Lost wickets of Alyssa Healy, Ashleigh Gardner, Ellyse Perry, two runouts of Shafali Verma & Nicole Bolton.
However, it doesn’t get better for Sydney Sixers, who lost 3 quick wickets of Angela Reakes, Maitlan Brown & Radha Yadav. Sydney Sixers was at 52/8 in 11.2 overs.
But then Lauren Cheatle tried to steady the innings but lost her wicket on 16 (off 16) – today’s highest individual score for the Sydney Sixers. At that stage, Sydney Sixers was at 76/9 (16.5 overs).

In the end, Laura Wolvaardt on 10* (off 14 balls) and Tahlia McGrath on 9* (off 8 balls) guided their team to a victory. Meanwhile, Adelaide Strikers chased down their target in under 11 overs. As they finished their innings at 84/2 in 10.2 overs.
As a result, Adelaide Strikers Women won the match by 8 wickets. Hence, the Player of the Match was awarded to Darcie Brown – 2/25.
