Julian Alvarez– Argentina
Julian Alvarez has flown to the French capital from Argentina after winning the Copa America 2024. He made his Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The 22-year-old was in prolific form last season for Manchester City. He lifted five trophies with City in the 2023 season- by completing the treble of the league, FA Cup and Champions League before claiming the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Michael Olise- France
The 22-year-old forward was born in London, England, where Arsenal first picked up his talents at the age of nine. Olise was born to a Nigerian father and French-Algerian mother, which is where his decision to represent France originates.
Olise has spent much of his time in the Premier League with clubs Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City. He has now reportedly switched to Bayern Munich .
Thiago Almada– Argentina
Thiago Almada is one of the top names to feature at the Paris Olympics 2024. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder won the MLS Newcomer of the Year award in 2022 following his move from his native Argentina. That same year, he was part of the Argentina team to win the World Cup by beating France in the final in Qatar.

Jean-Philippe Mateta- France
Jean-Philippe Mateta will replace Antoine Griezmann in the French squad for Paris Olympics 2024. Mateta, who played for French club Mainz, has represented France throughout the youth level but has yet to play for the senior side.
The 27-year-old, along with Olise, will form a formidable pair for the French team in the competition.
The 27-year-old, who also holds DR Congo citizenship, has scored an impressive 22 Premier League goals in 41 starts since his permanent move to Selhurst Park.

Achraf Hakimi- Morocco
World Cup semifinalist Achraf Hakimi will be one of the highlights in Olympic football. The defender shot to fame as he helped Morocco make it to the last four at Qatar World Cup 2022, making history as the first African nation to reach the semifinal of the FIFA World Cup
At 25, Hakimi has already enjoyed an illustrious club career, having started in the city of his birth with Real Madrid.
