Premier League champions Manchester City want to sign Copenhagen striker Orri Oskarsson as a backup to Erling Haaland after the departure of one of their best players, Julian Alvarez. Orri is expected to leave his current team before the end of the summer transfer window, as many European clubs are eyeing him.
Iceland’s 19-year-old international Orri Oskarsson scored 7 goals in 11 games last season. According to reports, his price has been set at 20 million euros. Along with Manchester City, many Premier League teams are also considering signing Oskarsson, including Porto and Real Sociedad.
It has also been reported that apart from Oskarsson, Manchester City is also looking to sign Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi. After Julian Alvarez moved to Atletico Madrid, Pep Guardiola confirmed that the club could try to sign a forward in the transfer window. However, several reports suggest that Manchester City are happy with their squad and are not looking to make any changes.
Pep Guardiola said in an interview
Regarding the squad, I am very happy with their human qualities and their qualities as players. Maybe in other years, I would have said, ‘No chance’ (of signing new players), but maybe this season it is going to happen by the end of the market. I don’t know yet, we have to talk and see what happens.

In terms of incomings, Guardiola played down the likelihood of any players arriving at #ManCity after Gundogan. Celtic’s Kyogo Furuhashi has been mentioned, as has FC Copenhagen forward Orri Oskarsson, but it is understood a move for either is unlikely at this stage.
