The Sultan of Johor Cup is an important hockey tournament for junior men’s teams. It started in 2011 and is organized by the Malaysian Hockey Federation. This tournament is held every year in Johor Bahru at the Taman Daya Hockey Stadium and features the best under-21 hockey teams from around the world.
Since it began, teams like India, Great Britain, Australia, and Germany have regularly participated, showing off their young players. Malaysia, the host country, has played in every tournament. India and Australia have been in 11 out of 12 tournaments. Germany has entered twice and won both times, in 2012 and 2023.
