The WTA calendar 2025 brings exciting changes and an expanded schedule. With over 50 tournaments across 26 countries, the 2025 season will be one of the biggest yet. The season will culminate in November with the prestigious WTA Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This year also marks significant changes, particularly in the UK grass-court season, as the top WTA 500 tournament moves from Eastbourne to London’s Queen’s Club starting June 9.

Let’s explore the WTA calendar 2025, highlighting the major tournaments and schedule changes, especially during the grass-court season in the UK.

Key Changes in the WTA Calendar 2025

The WTA has introduced several updates in the 2025 schedule to make it easier for players to attend tournaments and enhance the tour’s global presence:

  • The biggest change occurs in the UK, where London’s Queen’s Club will host the WTA 500 event starting June 9, replacing Eastbourne.
  • Nottingham’s WTA 250 event moves to June 16, and Eastbourne will now host a WTA 250 and ATP 250 tournament during the week of June 23.
  • In Germany, Bad Homburg retains its WTA 500 status, while the new tournament in Eastbourne brings additional excitement.
  • The National Bank Open in Montreal and the Cincinnati Open will expand to 12 days, making the summer hard-court season even bigger.
