ATP Qatar Open is a men’s tennis tournament that was first introduced in 1993, making it one of the oldest tennis championships in the world. The 2025 season was inaugurated on 17 February, and the finals are set to take place on 22 February 2025. Meanwhile, we have our top 4 contenders of the singles category for the title as the semi-final match starts today on 21 February. 

The total prize pool is $2,760,000 and the champion will take $516,165 home. The runner-up will get $277,715 and our last four standing have secured at least $148,005 by making the cut to the semi-finals. The match will be available for live streaming on ESPN in the USA, Sky Sports in the UK, TSN in Canada and Tennis Channel in India.

Félix Auger-Aliassime

Félix Auger-Aliassime is a Canadian professional tennis player who beat the fourth-seeded Daniil Medvedev to secure his position in the semi-finals, which marks his second appearance in the tournament. He has participated in the Qatar Open multiple times. 

However he could not win a title, this year his form has improved and his current ranking is Number 23 in ATP rankings. He has won a total of seven ATP singles titles which makes him a strong opponent for the trophy.

Andrey Rublev

Andrey Rublev is a Russian professional tennis player whose career-high ranking is World Number 5. He has won 16 ATP singles titles and had won the Qatar Open previously in 2020. He was also a finalist in 2018 and reached the semi-finals this year by defeating Alex de Minaur. 

He has a 7-4 win-loss record in the 2025 season and will eye the trophy to become the first player to win the Qatar Open in both the ATP 250 and ATP 500 categories, having won the ATP 250 already.

Jiří Lehecka

Lehecka is one of the best contenders for the trophy as he defeated top-seeded Carlos Alcaraz in the quarterfinals to reach the semi-finals. This victory is also the top 3 wins of his career as he is one of the youngest in the tournament. The 23-year-old began 2025 with an impressive record of 11-2 winning his second tour-level title in Brisbane.

He owns two ATP Challengers singles titles and he has put up a brilliant performance this season. It will be interesting to see how he manages to compete with J. Draper in the semi-finals who is currently ranked 16th in the world.

Jack Draper

Draper advanced to the semi-finals by defeating Cristopher O’Connell showcasing his incredible form after suffering from a hip injury that sidelined him for a month. This tournament marks his return to competitive tennis.

He’s a strong contestant for the title having won four ATP titles. He has earned over £2 million in prize money in 2024 alone and it will be thrilling to see if he can take the winning trophy and prize money in Qatar Open 2025.
