Brian Harman secured his fourth PGA tour title at the Valero Texas Open in a dramatic finish. The game was held at the TPC San Antonio’s Oaks Course, and it saw Harman face off against a strong field while also dealing with challenging personal conditions.

Brian Harman’s victory was marked by an impressive consistency throughout the game, however, his final round was marked by a 3-over par 75, which was not good enough but sufficient to secure him the win. His overall score was 9-under par while Ryan Gerard finished in the second place with a remarkable 6-under par. His performance was specifically notable due to the challenging weather conditions faced by all competitors on Sunday.

He said post-match, “Just having a little bit of experience and knowing that score was kind of a relative thing today, it was more kind of a game of attrition. The conditions just wouldn’t allow for a super-low score. I didn’t have my best stuff today, but good enough to make a few putts, and a couple birdies on the back nine helped a lot.”

Brian Harman’s victory was not just an example of his golfing skills but also reflected his determination as he played the game with a heavy heart due to personal challenges. Throughout the week, he dealt with heartbreaking news that his close family friend, Dowdy, has been in the hospital as he rescued Harman’s son from a rip current during a family outing.

Despite this emotional challenge, he delivered a great performance and won the Valero Texas Open 2025. He said, “So I just tried really hard today to not let my emotions get out in front. As much as I wanted to think about winning and holding the trophy and calling my wife and telling her how happy I was, you don’t get to do that until the job’s done. Just left foot, right foot, finish the job, and then you get to have fun.”

Brian Harman took home $1,710,000 from the $9.5 million prize pool. The tournament saw a dramatic finish, and here are the top 10 finishes of the Valero Texas Open 2025.
