If you love scary games and enjoy virtual reality, then The Midnight Walk might be your next favorite game. It’s a new horror fantasy game that is all about fear, darkness, and survival. The game already looks super spooky, and it’s coming out very soon!

When is The Midnight Walk Coming Out?

The Midnight Walk will be released on May 8, 2025. That means the wait is almost over. There’s no news about early access yet, so everyone will get to play it at the same time. According to the PlayStation Store, the game will be available to download at midnight in all regions.

Which Platforms Will Have the Game?

This game is made for PlayStation 5 and PC, but it is extra special because it also supports VR (virtual reality). If you have a PlayStation VR2, you can get the full horror experience. On PC, the game supports these VR headsets:

  • Valve Index
  • Oculus Quest (via Link)
  • Oculus Rift S
  • Oculus Rift

So far, there’s no version for Xbox, as Microsoft does not have its own VR system. And there’s no word yet if it’ll be added to PlayStation Plus at launch.

What Kind of Game Is It?

The Midnight Walk is a single-player horror game that mixes fear and fantasy. It’s best played in VR, but you can still play it normally on PC and PS5 without VR. The game puts you in a dark world filled with strange creatures and creepy moments.

You play as The Burnt One, and you have a little flame friend called Potboy. Your job is to protect Potboy’s flame as you walk through five scary and magical stories. Monsters will try to chase you, but you have to be smart and brave to survive.

PC Requirements

To play this game on PC, you’ll need a decent setup. It doesn’t need the best graphics card, but your processor needs to be strong. Here’s what your PC needs to run the game smoothly:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel i7-1180 or AMD Ryzen 7 5800
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 3060 or AMD 6700
  • Storage: 100 GB free space

If you want to enjoy the game in VR, make sure your computer and headset are ready.
