Kylian Mbappe’s season has been nothing short of a roller coaster
Kylian Mbappe’s season has been nothing short of a roller coaster, from going goal-less in the starting of the season to now getting Ballon D’or shouts since the turn of the year. He is now the second highest scorer in the La Liga after Robert Lewandowski and is only separated from the polish striker by 3 goals.
The start of the season saw him miss chances galore and adapt to a new position as he has usually played from the left wing but due to the presence of Vinicius Jr., he has had to play from the central position as the main Number 9.
Mbappe would have thought to shrink the gap at the top against Lewandowski
But ever since he hacked the nuances of a striker, he has looked lethal and back to his best self. After enduring a rough start to his Real Madrid career, he is enjoying love from the fans and appreciation from the Pundits.
Mbappe would have thought to shrink the gap at the top against Lewandowski for the Pichichi Award but instead is now facing a potential ban of 2 games in the La liga.
Mbappe received the red card for a terrible foul on Antonio Blanco
Mbappe received the red card for a terrible foul on Antonio Blanco, which left the Alaves midfielder moaning on the ground, four minutes after Camavinga’s incredible first-half goal.

Replays showed Mbappe missed the ball by some distance with his right boot before ramming into Blanco’s standing leg with his studs up. After a VAR check, referee Cesar Soto was left with little option but to send the Frenchman for an early bath.
It was an uncharacteristic moment of madness from Mbappe, who had only been shown three red cards in his entire professional career prior to this weekend’s contest.
Clips of the tackle spread like wildfire across social media
Clips of the tackle spread like wildfire across social media and drew quite the reaction from fans, with TV personality Piers Morgan, a lifelong Arsenal supporter, among those to condemn the forward’s recklessness.
Disgusting ‘tackle’ by Mbappe… vicious intent and could have broken the guy’s leg. Red card should be the very least of his punishment. pic.twitter.com/eeR0WWJKC7

Mbappe to be banned for the second leg of their Champions League
Morgan and every Arsenal fan on the planet will have hoped for Mbappe to be banned for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final with Madrid on Tuesday evening.
In La Liga, a red card typically results in a two-match ban, which rules Mbappe out of the Spanish champions’ upcoming top-flight games with Athletic Bilbao and Getafe.
The suspension will only apply to Madrid’s domestic competitions, meaning the 26-year-old attacker is still eligible to face Arsenal at the Bernabeu.
