The Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are playing against each other in the 36th match of IPL 2025 on Saturday, April 19.
The list of impact players for the Rajasthan Royals vs Lucknow Super Giants match at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur has been officially announced.
Rajasthan Royals are having a tough IPL 2025 campaign, winning just two of their seven matches. They are currently in 8th place on the points table with a Net Run Rate of -0.714. The team has been struggling, with only Yashasvi Jaiswal performing well in batting.
RR suffered another setback in their last match against Delhi Capitals when Sanju Samson hurt his side and was forced to retire. Rahul Dravid mentioned, “Samson experienced a bit of pain in the abdominal area.”
Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants got a boost with the return of pacer Mayank Yadav from injury. LSG, who started the season without Akash Deep, Mayank Yadav, and Avesh Khan, have now got all of them back. They’ve won four and lost three matches, giving them a good chance to reach the playoffs.
In the head-to-head record, Rajasthan Royals lead 4-1 over Lucknow Super Giants, with LSG’s only win coming in 2023 in Jaipur.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) won the toss and chose to bat first in the match. At the toss, Rishabh Pant mentioned that the dew doesn’t usually affect the venue, which is why they decided to bat first.
“We’re going to bat first, wicket is looking dry so we want to take advantage. No dew so why not bat first.”
Meanwhile, Riyan Parag, who is standing in for the injured Sanju Samson as RR’s skipper, mentioned that they were also looking to bowl first.
“We were looking to bowl, it is a little bit warm under lights, should be better than the last time.”
