England was ready to play the third ODI match against the West Indies at the Kennington Oval in London on June 3. However, the match start was delayed because the West Indies team’s bus got stuck in heavy traffic. To avoid traffic problems, the England players rode lime bikes to the stadium instead of coming by bus.

The ECB released a statement about the delay, saying: “Due to a delayed arrival of one of the playing teams, who are stuck in heavy traffic north of the river, the scheduled start of play will be delayed.
Once all members of the playing teams arrive, the match officials will coordinate updated timings and discuss any impact on the schedule of play. We will update spectators with the schedule of play as soon as we are able.”
Reports say road closures caused the heavy traffic jam in London, and many cars were stuck on the road. The England players arrived on time, but the West Indies team was late, so the match start was delayed.
Early Wickets Put West Indies Under Pressure
The hosts won the toss and chose to bowl first. They quickly took three West Indies wickets in the first seven overs with Saqib Mahmood, Brydon Carse, and Matthew Potts each taking one.
After the early wickets, Keacy Carty and Sherfarane Rutherford put together an unbeaten 55-run partnership. West Indies were 83 for 3 in 15 overs when the drinks break came.
Then the rain stopped the match, but it looked like a short shower. The game is expected to continue soon.
Can West Indies avoid a clean sweep?
