What Makes PMWC 2025 Special?

PMWC 2025 isn’t just another PUBG tournament. It’s one of the biggest stages in mobile esports, with top teams from all regions competing for both glory and cash.
This year, the competition introduced the Smash Rule format, which keeps the games highly competitive and unpredictable. Teams can’t rely only on one big win consistent performance across matches is key to lifting the trophy.
Also, the $3 million prize pool makes this tournament one of the most lucrative in PUBG Mobile history.
Prize Pool Breakdown
The total prize pool is $3,000,000, with the following distribution:
- Winners: $500,000
- Runner-up & other placements: Divided based on rankings in each stage
- Stage earnings: Teams already secured part of the prize pool from Group and Survival Stages
This means every game counts, and even teams that don’t win the finals will walk away with significant rewards.
How Did the Teams Qualify?
The journey to the Grand Finals was long and intense.
- Group Stage (July 25–27):
24 teams competed for a place in the top 8.
The top 8 teams directly qualified for the Grand Finals.

How the Smash Rule Works
The Smash Rule adds an exciting twist to the finals:
- Days 1 & 2: Teams play 6 matches each day to collect points.
- After Day 2: The match point threshold is set by adding 10 points to the score of the first-place team.
- Day 3: The team that reaches this threshold and then secures a Chicken Dinner becomes the champion.
This means the final day can get intense, with teams trying to balance between reaching the points threshold and winning matches.

- 4Thrives Esports could be the underdogs to watch.
