Jannik Sinner Dismantles Stefanos Tsitsipas

The Italian world No. 2 broke Tsitsipas six times, exploiting the Greek’s one-handed backhand with clinical precision and dominating with sharp footwork and heavy groundstrokes.

Sinner raced to a 4-0 lead within minutes and never looked back. Even when Tsitsipas briefly rallied to avoid a first-set bagel, the result felt inevitable. Sinner closed the match with a forehand winner after another Tsitsipas error, underlining the gulf in execution on the night.

“We know each other very well… It’s always special to play Novak,” Sinner said in his on-court interview. “But mostly, we’re here to bring great tennis and enjoy the moment.”

Taylor Fritz Too Strong for Struggling Alexander Zverev

In the night’s earlier match, Taylor Fritz continued his recent dominance over Alexander Zverev, easing past the German 6-3, 6-4 in just 59 minutes. The American fired eight aces and saved all three break points he faced, while Zverev, who appeared to be hampered by a shoulder issue, struggled to match the American’s intensity.

Fritz broke early in both sets and never relinquished control, showcasing powerful serving and compact baseline aggression. The win extends his unofficial streak to seven straight over Zverev.

Fritz now faces Carlos Alcaraz, who was granted a bye into the semifinals alongside Djokovic. Though Alcaraz is reportedly nursing a minor injury, Fritz isn’t underestimating the challenge ahead.
