Aryna Sabalenka began her 2025 tennis season officially began on 30 December 2024, with the start of the Brisbane International in Brisbane and concluded at the 2025 WTA Finals. Notably, Sabalenka was ranked No. 1 during all 52 weeks of 2025.

1. Brisbane International (WTA 500)

Def. Polina Kudermetova, 4–6, 6–3, 6–2

Aryna Sabalenka started 2025 by winning the Brisbane International, defeating Renata Zarazúa,Yulia Putintseva, Marie Bouzková, and Mirra Andreeva en route to the final match where she came back from a set down against Polina Kudermetova to claim the 18th singles title of her career.

2. Miami Open (WTA 1000)

Def. Jessica Pegula, 7–5, 6–2

This victory gave Sabalenka her maiden Miami Open title, completing the “Sunshine Double” finals appearances (reaching the final of both Indian Wells and Miami) for the year. She had an incredibly dominant run throughout the tournament, not dropping a single set on her way to the trophy. In the final against Jessica Pegula, she handled a tight first set by breaking her opponent’s serve at 6-5. She then took full control in the second set, utilizing her powerful serve and aggressive groundstrokes to win comfortably.

3. Madrid Open (WTA 1000)

Def. Coco Gauff, 6–3, 7–6(3)

Aryna Sabalenka secured her third Madrid Open title, equating the record held by Petra Kvitová for the most singles titles at the tournament. It was a crucial win on clay, following a final loss at Roland Garros. She defeated World No. 4 Coco Gauff in the final in straight sets. Sabalenka started aggressively, racing to a lead in the first set. The second set was a more intense battle, with Gauff fighting back and even serving for the set, but Sabalenka broke back and demonstrated her composure to decisively win the tiebreak, claiming her 20th career WTA Tour title.

4. US Open (Grand Slam)

Def. Amanda Anisimova, 6–3, 7–6(3)

The Belarusian overcame Rebeka Masarova, Polina Kudermetova, Leylah Fernandez, and Cristina Bucșa to reach her 12th consecutive major quarterfinal. Her quarterfinal opponent Markéta Vondroušová withdrew with an injury and Sabalenka received a walkover into the semifinal. In the semifinal, the 27-year-old faced Jessica Pegula in a rematch of the 2024 final, winning in three sets and reaching her third consecutive US Open final. 

The World No. 1 faced Amanda Anisimova in the final, in a rematch of their Wimbledon semifinal. Aryna Sabalenka went on to win the final in straight sets, winning her fourth major title and second consecutive US Open title. With her win, she became the first singles player to defend a US Open title since Serena Williams won the 2014 US Open.
