The BWF World Tour Finals 2025, the final tournament of the 2025 BWF World Tour is scheduled from 17 to 21 December 2025 in Hangzhou, China.
This is the eighth edition of the BWF World Tour Finals and is organized by the Chinese Badminton Association with sanction from the BWF.
The event will be hosted at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium
The BWF World Tour Finals succeeds BWF Super Series Finals. It is an annual season finale badminton tournament which is held every December of a year where the players with the most points from that calendar year’s events of the BWF World Tour compete for the season-finale title.
BWF World Tour Finals 2025: Format
The event is a five-day tournament which will be played in the following structure:
- Group Stage (Round Robin)
- The eight qualifiers in each discipline are divided into two groups of four (Group A and Group B).
- Players/pairs compete against every other opponent in their group (three matches each).
- The matches are played in a best-of-three games format to 21 points.
2. Knockout Stage
- The top two players/pairs from each group advance to the knockout stage.
- The knockout stage consists of Semi-finals and a Final.
- In the Semi-finals, the winner of Group A plays the runner-up of Group B, and the winner of Group B plays the runner-up of Group A.
- The winners of the Semi-finals compete in the Final to determine the season champion.
