Jon Jones is widely regarded as one of the best fighters to ever enter the cage. However, his career currently hangs by a thread, and it looks like he has reached a boiling point.
Jones was last seen inside the octagon back in 2014 when he defended the heavyweight champion of the UFC by beating Stipe Miocic. While there were reports of him fighting Tom Aspinall next, he decided to vacate the title and retire.
Since then, his stance changed, and Jones was interested in fighting again, particularly at UFC’s upcoming White House event. Responding to the same, Dana White initially suggested that Jones can’t be trusted for an event like the White House card and ruled his return out.
However, recent reports suggested that Jon Jones was in negotiations to fight on the card. In what came as a shock when the official fight card was announced, there was no mention of Jones. Moreover, White went on to claim he never considered ‘Bones’ for a fight.
Jon Jones claps back at Dana White and demands exit from the UFC
As Dana White’s comments gained traction, Jon Jones responded in a lengthy post on X. Jones suggested that the UFC actually made him an offer and was prepared to start fight camp.
Furthermore, Jones suggested that he was disappointed in hearing that he was done by Dana White. While urging the UFC to release him from his contract, he said:
“If the UFC truly feels like I’m done, then I respectfully ask to be released from my contract today. No more spins, no more games. Thank you to the real fans who know what’s up. Bones out.”
Hey everyone, I wanted to address Dana White’s comments from this past weekend, because the truth matters to me and the fans.

The situation involving Jon Jones definitely seems confusing at the moment. While Dana White has always claimed Jones is the GOAT of MMA, it looks like his relationship with the former champion has fallen through. That said, it will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds and if we have truly seen the end of Jones in the UFC. And if that turns out to be the case, Jones will truly walk away as arguably the best fighter that the UFC has ever seen.
