Pakistan Super League (PSL) has finally reached a breaking point. When the world is witnessing one of the prominent T20 leagues in the cricketing world. Due to lots of incidents, PSL is continuously getting attention. Overseas stars are leaving the tournament in the middle. Driven by massive valuations and career honour, many players are leaning towards the IPL, leaving the PSL struggling with sudden exits and squad instability.
In response, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to stop playing soft. To protect the integrity of its tournament, the board has initiated strict actions and bans against players who honor their IPL call-ups by abandoning the PSL even though they’ve signed PSL contracts.

Blessing Muzarabani
Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani has been handed a two-year suspension from the Pakistan Super League. Although he had initially committed to Islamabad United, the fast bowler opted to join the Kolkata Knight Riders for the 2026 IPL season, filling the vacancy left by Mustafizur Rahman.
The PCB viewed this as a clear contractual violation and imposed a ban over him of 2 years. This stands as the most severe penalty in PSL history, marking the longest suspension ever imposed on a player
Dasun Shanaka
Srilanka’s all-rounder Dasun Shanaka has joined Lahore Qalandars for the Pakistan Super League. But he left the league before the beginning of the season. Instead of playing PSL, he joined the Rajasthan Royals in place of Sam Curran as his replacement.
After Shanaka’s leaving the Pakistan Super League, the PCB imposed a ban on Dasun Shanaka for 1 year. Since he left the tournament after signing his contract, he can still enter the PSL auction for the next season and could be bought.
Corbin Bosch
After ditching Peshawar Zalmi for the Mumbai Indians in 2025, Corbin Bosch faced a landmark one-year ban from the Pakistan Cricket Board. It was a historic disciplinary move against a player leaving mid-tournament for the IPL. Now that his ban is over, the South African is officially back on the PSL’s eligible players list.
