FC Barcelona go into this one in a strong position, sitting top of the table and looking to extend their winning run when they face Celta Vigo. With a nine-point gap already in place, Barcelona have given themselves breathing room, but the job isn’t done yet.

Celta, on the other hand, are chasing a European spot and have quietly put together a decent season. Their form hasn’t always been consistent, but their away record shows they’re capable of making games uncomfortable, even against stronger sides.

Predicted Lineups And Key Team News

FC Barcelona are still missing a couple of players. Raphinha and Andreas Christensen are not expected to return yet, while there’s still some uncertainty around Marc Bernal. Even so, the squad has enough depth to adjust without too much disruption.

Frenkie de Jong is likely to come back into midfield, which should help with control and tempo alongside Pedri. At the back, Pau Cubarsi is expected to return, adding stability after missing the last match.

Going forward, Ferran Torres looks set to keep his place after a solid outing, with Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo supporting him. It’s a setup that has worked well recently, and there may not be much reason to change it.

For Celta, the situation is a bit clearer. Miguel Roman is out for the season, but apart from that, there aren’t many concerns. Borja Iglesias is expected to lead the attack again, having been one of their more reliable performers this season.

There should also be a couple of returns at the back, with Javi Rodriguez available again and Carl Starfelt likely to come straight back into the lineup.

FC Barcelona Predicted XI:

J Garcia; Kounde, Cubarsi, E Garcia, Cancelo; De Jong, Pedri; Yamal, Olmo, Fermin; Torres

Celta Vigo Predicted XI:

Radu; Alonso, Starfelt, Rodriguez; Carreira, Moriba, Vecino, Mingueza; Lopez; Iglesias, Jutgla

On paper, FC Barcelona have the edge, especially with the form they’re in. But Celta have shown they can compete away from home, so this might not be as straightforward as it looks.
