IPL 2026: The 32nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was played between Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Supergiants. RR beat LSG by 40 runs. Rajasthan’s fast bowler Nandre Burger was fined 10% of his match fee for breaching the code and conduct of the Indian Premier League, where he dismissed LSG captain Rishabh Pant, and then he abused him. In a low-scoring game, Rajasthan seized the match and came back to 2nd spot in the points table. But Nandre Burger grabbed the attention by making an unnecessary offence against the LSG captain.
RR reached the 2nd Spot
During the LSG and RR clash in Lucknow Ekana International Cricket Stadium, Rajasthan beat LSG on their home ground. But fast bowler Nandre Burger used abusive language and an aggressive approach after dismissing him on a duck. Burger took two wickets, one of Rishabh Pant and another of Mitchell Marsh, which helped RR to clinch their 5th win in this season so far.
IPL Code of Conduct
According to the IPL rule of code and conduct, there are four demerit points, including one suspension point. Demerit points remain on a player’s record for 36 months. Burger should be aware of his gesture in the upcoming season. The Indian Premier League’s governing body did not clarify the exact offence Burger had committed. But, they said he used vulgar language after dismissing LSG captain Rishabh Pant.

Meanwhile, apart from this incident, Burger has had a good start in the 2026 season of 2026. He played 7 matches for his franchise and took 7 wickets with an economy rate of just 8.35. Rajasthan Royals will play their next game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 25th April, and it will be their first match at their home ground, Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. We will again see Burger playing for his franchise against SRH on Saturday.
