Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will play against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Match 45 of IPL 2026 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. The match starts at 3:30 PM IST on May 3. SRH are in great form and are in the top part of the points table, while KKR are struggling this season.

Abhishek Sharma, with 425 runs, and Heinrich Klaasen, with 414 runs, are key players for SRH. Earlier this season, SRH beat KKR by 65 runs, scoring 226/8. Ajinkya Rahane leads KKR, and they will look to bounce back strongly.

SRH vs KKR Key Battles Klaasen vs Narine Varun

In SRH vs KKR, Heinrich Klaasen vs KKR spinners is a big battle to watch. Against Varun Chakravarthy, Klaasen has scored 80 runs in 38 balls at a strike rate of 210.5 and got out only once, which shows he attacks him easily. Against Sunil Narine, he has 79 runs in 42 balls at a strike rate of 188.1 and has never been dismissed.

Which is very impressive. Klaasen reads their spin early and plays smart shots all around the ground. This makes it hard for both bowlers, who are usually very tough to score against in IPL matches.

SRH vs KKR Toss Update: Cummins Wins

In SRH vs KKR, both captains, Pat Cummins and Ajinkya Rahane, looked confident before the match. At the toss, Rahane called heads, but it came tails, so Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first. He said the team wants to put up a strong total and control the game early.

There are a few important changes in the SRH playing XI. On the other side, Rahane also said he wanted to bat first, showing both teams had similar plans. KKR have made two changes, and Manish Pandey is playing his first match of the season today.

SRH vs KKR Pitch Report: Hyderabad High Scoring Game

For SRH vs KKR at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, the pitch is very good for batting. It is flat and hard with nice bounce, so batters can play big shots easily. The average first innings score this IPL season is around 202, which shows it is a high-scoring ground. Boundaries are also short, helping players hit more fours and sixes.

Fast bowlers may get a little swing early, and spinners can get some help from the dry surface later. It is an afternoon match, so there is less dew, and both batting first or chasing can work well.
