GT vs RR: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Holds RR Innings Together in Crucial Middle Overs
In the first phase of GT vs RR’s middle overs, 7th to 11th over, both the players Ravindra Jadeja and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, took a calm and steady approach to just rotate the strike for a few overs to settle in the game, but in the 8th over, due to some injury, Ravindra Jadeja had to walk out, but he can bat later in the death overs. In the second phase of middle overs, 12th to 16th over, began with a fierce over by Jason Holder as he took his 2nd wicket in the innings and was able to get the 4th breakthrough for Gujarat Titans. Shanaka scored 3(9), only 2 runs and a wicket for Titans from the over.
In the 13th over things got tightened for Royals as Jofra Archer’s wicket came as the 5th breakthrough for Titans, as he got edged and Jos Buttler took an amazing catch, Archer scored 7(4), a big over for Royals came in the 16th over where 16 runs came and at the end of 16 overs Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was at 82*(43) and Ravindra Jadeja at 36*(26) and Royals were at 154/5.
GT vs RR: Rashid Khan’s Final Over Goes Expensive as Donovan Changes the Game
GT vs RR, royals were on the rough side after middle overs, as a partnership was needed to reach a 200+ score in the last 4 overs and in the 17th over Sooryavanshi took the charge and hit crucial boundaries, getting 17 runs from the over, Vaibhav was once again on the edge of scoring a century but things didn’t go into his favour, and got out on the second ball of the 18th over scoring a crucial 96(47),
things changed in the last 2 overs when Donovan and Jadeja changed the tempo of the game instantly as 11 runs came in the 19th over, 2 fours by Donovan and 27 runs came in the 20th over, Donovan Ferreira launched a counter-attack at the much needed time hitting four sixes to Rashid Khan and taking Rajasthan Royals to the total of 214/6 and Donovan contributed an important 38*(11) and Ravindra Jadeja 45*(35).
