Today Day 8 events of the Paralympics 2020 are underway.

After she created history, Avani Lekhara will now be eyeing yet another medal. She along with Deepak Saini and Sidhartha Babu participated in the mixed 10m air rifle prone SH1 Final. Unfortunately, the trio fails to qualify for the same.

In the Mixed 10m Air Rifle event, only eight of 47 participants will qualify for the final. Midway into the Paralympics tournament, Avani Lekhara was a little close to the top 10. The rest were lagging outside of that.

In the end, Avani finished 27th, Sidhartha Babu 40th, and Deepak Saini 43rd.

The next Indian inaction would be Suyash Jadhav, who will compete in Men’s 100m Breast Stroke SB7 Final. His event starts at 1:30 pm IST.

Our delighted PM Narendra Modi congratulates and supports the winners. He also speaks to the winners and encourages them via tweets.

This time, the Paralympics 2020 has been super encouraging. 54 athletes from the Indian Contingent.

Congratulations to all the winners and best of luck to the ones remaining to compete! The nation has been proud of all those who participated and won.

The Paralympics 2020 will end on 5th September.
