England and Germany faced a draw in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday night. Both the teams had to settle it down for a point in the end. The end scoreline was 1-1. It was an entertaining game as both the team had enough opportunities at each other’s goals.
There wasn’t any goal scored in the first half of the game. Despite Germany enjoying the possession but they couldn’t take a lead against England in the first 45 minutes. Southgate’s men were happy to go into the tunnel without conceding at the break. As soon as the second half started, Germany started pushing as they wanted to score badly. They did find the results in just five minutes as in the 50th-minute German midfielder Jonas Hofmann scored the first goal of the game. Germany deserved this lead against England the way they were attacking in the second half.
Germany’s overall possession was more than England but the ‘Three Lions” created more chances in the game. England had 15 shots on goal as compared to Germany’s 10. Just before the final whistle, Harry Kane was awarded a penalty. Schlotterbeck gave away the penalty after he made a bad challenge on the striker (Harry Kane). Harry didn’t make any mistakes and converted the penalty to complete his 50th goal for England.
