Premier League side Manchester United are looking to sign a new midfielder in this summer transfer window. New Dutch manager Erik ten Hag wants to bring Frenkie de Jong to Old Trafford (Manchester United’s home stadium).

Erik ten Hag feels Frenkie de Jong can solve Manchester United’s midfield problems and can help him make United the ‘roaring club’ again. On Saturday night, Frenkie de Jong was playing for Netherlands national football team against Poland in the UEFA Nations League. After the game, Frenkie faced some questions from ESPN. He was asked so many things in that post-match interview along with the current Manchester United rumours.

“No I can’t, I can’t say anything,” said Frenkie de Jong to ESPN when a reporter asked him about him going to Manchester this summer.

He laughed after this question from that reporter and then denied answering that. Central midfielder Frenkie can play at so many positions. He can even play a centre-back role and thus, some big European clubs want the Dutch midfielder. Frenkie has played under Erik ten Hag before when they both were in Ajax and Erik use to use him as his deadly weapon in midfield.
