Paris Saint-Germain has signed new manager which will take charge from next season. French football manager Christophe Galtier is set to become Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain’s new manager. Galtier was the head coach of another Ligue 1 club Nice.

Paris Saint-Germain already decided that they are going to change the manager this summer as they wanted to challenge for UEFA Champions League next season. PSG’s manager Mauricio Pochettino will be sacked from his role as their president Al-Khelaifi is not convinced that the Argentine will win them Champions League.

Mauricio Pochettino managed PSG for two years and his performance in the league was good but in the Champions League was not upto the mark. PSG kept so many options after they decided to sack Mauricio Pochettino. There were lot of rumours about Zinedine Zidane becoming new PSG manager, but the club and also the manager himself denied all the rumours. Galtier was their priority and they finally reached an agreement with him on Friday, 1st July.

“Paris Saint-Germain, finally set to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino. Full agreement in place between the two parties. Christophe Galtier, to be unveiled as new PSG manager next week,” tweeted Fabrizio Romano on Friday.
