Former Indian cricket team opening batter Virender Sehwag made a funny Tweet after English batter Jonny Bairstow scored an emphatic century in the 5th rescheduled Test between India and England at Edgbaston. The last Test match started on July 1. On day 3, when England batters Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow were at the crease, Virat Kohli sledged Jonny.

There were some war of words between former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and English batter Jonny Bairstow. As per reports, Virat Kohli said “shut-up and bat” to Jonny and then he responded with something. Jonny Bairstow was playing at 13 runs in 61 balls. Before this clash between Indian batter Virat Kohli and Jonny Bairstow, he was playing at a strike rate of 21. After Kohli sledged him, the batter picked up a pace in his batting and started scoring runs at a strike rate of 150.

It was almost a transition from Test to T20 from Jonny Bairstow. Jonny Bairstow later on completed his century and that also came in just 119 balls. Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag shared a tweet in which he compared Jonny’s strike rate pre-sledging and post-sledging. He feels Kohli made Jonny Bairstow the next Pant by sledging him who was before playing like Pujara (as per Virender Sehwag’s tweet).
