Indian cricket team is about to play their first game of the Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday, 28th August. The match is against Pakistan cricket team which will be starting at 7:30 PM (IST) in Dubai International cricket stadium, UAE. Indian team’s head coach Rahul Dravid is back in the Indian camp.
Rahul Dravid was tested positive for COVID-19 a few days back and it was unlikely that he will make it to the Indian camp before the Asia Cup but he did make it. VVS Laxman was made India’s interim head coach after Rahul Dravid tested positive for this Asia Cup 2022. Indian team’s head coach was tested negative on Saturday and likely to be present in India’s first game in Asia Cup 2022 against Pakistan cricket team.
Rahul Dravid has done a great job since he has got into this role. After Ravi Shastri, the team needed a strong contender to replace him, but now it seems like India has got one. India won so many series after IPL under Rahul Dravid’s coaching and Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. Rahul Dravid will also be hoping to have a major trophy like Asia Cup to his name.
