With only a few days left for the start of IPL 2021, preparations for the tournament are in full flow, with players who have completed their quarantine sweating it out outdoors while those still in quarantine exercising inside their team hotel rooms. Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday took to Instagram to share a video of Jos Buttler working out inside his hotel room, with the help of his adorable daughter Georgia. In the video, the England wicket-keeper batsman can be seen holding Georgia while doing sit-ups. The cuteness quotient in the video goes one notch further when Georgia starts copying her father’s every action, be it push-ups or any other exercise, which as captioned by the franchise completely melts our heart.
The video begins with wicketkeeper-batsman Buttler carrying the baby in his arms and doing some squats. Next up, Buttler is performing squats with a dumbbell while Georgia looks on. The two of them then do push-ups. More like Jos doing push-ups and Georgia innocently lying on the floor. That drill is followed by some standing lunges with baby Georgia. The video ends with some shots of the child playing with a thera band.
Buttler and Rajasthan Royals will begin their campaign against Punjab Kings on April 12. Buttler comes into the tournament on the back of some subdued performances in the white-ball leg of the recently-concluded India-England series.
In a recent interaction on Rajasthan Royals’ Twitter handle, he named the West Indies duo of Chris Gayle and Andre Russell as the two most destructive batsmen in T20 cricket.
“There’s a few out there at the moment. It’s hard to look past the West Indies batsmen I’d say. Chris Gayle has been so destructive for such a long period. Andre Russell when he gets going is pretty formidable and scary to bowl at. So I’m gonna say Chris Gayle and Andre Russell,” Jos Buttler replied to a query.
He also picked Australian pacer Pat Cummins as the one overseas player he would like to include in the England side.
