A football player’s life is changed after participating in or winning the Super Bowl. When New York Giants linebacker Greg Jones won a championship with his team by defeating the New England Patriots for the second time, he wasn’t concerned with the confetti or planning his next vacation.

Jones, though, proposed to his fiancée on the field, proving that he was willing to part with one ring to get another—a beautiful, glimmering Super Bowl ring.

Soccer Injury Proposal

It’s common for soccer players to fake injuries more than they are, but Fabi could be their best actor. After falling to the field with what appears to be a knee injury, he has the trainers come out to check on him for a few minutes before doing the unthinkable.

While most soccer players would get back up and continue playing after taking a tumble, he rolls over and asks his girlfriend the most important question of his life. The old guy will always have someone by his side if he ever has to deal with an injury.

Fiesta Bowl Proposal (2007)

Ian Johnson, a former running back for the Boise State Broncos, proposed to his fiancée in a manner that would humiliate any other man.

Johnson proposed to his girlfriend, who was also a cheerleader for the winning side, after Boise State’s exciting Fiesta Bowl win over Oklahoma’s Sooners.

How sugary was it, if at all? There’s no doubt about it. But seriously, thanks for being the standard bearer you are.

Getting on one knee during a time-out

During the 2016 Australian Basketball League Finals between the Brisbane Bullets and Melbourne United, a fan of the sport startled his girlfriend and the crowd by proposing during a time-out at Hisense Arena in Melbourne. The girl started crying as the guy got down on one knee on the court.
