The Board Cricket Control Of India (BCCI) selectors have picked 15 men’s Squad for the upcoming tours of team India. India is set to play T20I series against Ireland and England and later on India will play Asian Games in Japan. BCCI have announced a team with some notable changes in team India. Shreyas Iyer replaced Suryakumar Yadav as a T20I captain of India. The 15 year old boy will soon make his debut in India’s men’s Squad. Do you have any idea Why Hardik Pandya was not picked in the T20I team?

The moment the BCCI announced the Indian team men’s Squad everyone was shocked for a while. Two of the main Indian players were side cornered and not picked in the Indian team. Both debuted for team India back in 2016 against the Australian team. We are talking about the bowling giant Jasprit Bumrah and the mighty all rounder Hardik Pandya.

Why Hardik Was not part of team India?

Jasprit Bumrah Hardik Pandya was also not picked in the men’s T20I squad as he is currently injured and he is under the rehabilitation of BCCi center of excellence at Bangalore. When chief Selector Ajit Agarkar asked about not picking Hardik Pandya in the main squad. He explained he wants him to be fit for ODI cricket and he doesn’t want any kind of casualty ahead of the ODI World Cup 2027. And the main goal is to keep Pandya fit and fine for the fifty over format.

Agarkar explained during the press conference that, ‘Bumrah and Hardik both are the part of the main team squad and they are the most senior players in the Indian team having a huge experience of playing white ball cricket. We just want both of them to be available for the major event of cricket which is fifty over ODI World Cup. “

Shreyas Iyer (C), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (WK), Ishan Kishan (WK), Shivam Dube, Tilak Varma (VC), Varun Chakravarthy, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar,  Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Harshit Rana, Ravi Bishnoi.
