One Day International (ODI) matches feature international cricket teams that are both Full Members and the top four Associate Members of the International Cricket Council (ICC). One inning is played for each team in one-day international matches as opposed to test matches (ODIs). The oldest player to play in an ODI made his or her debut at age 47. Nolan Clarke of the Netherlands set a record for the oldest cricketer to make an ODI debut on February 17, 1996, when he was 47 years and 240 days old. Nolan Clarke

Nolan Clarke of the Netherlands set a record for the oldest cricketer to make an ODI debut on February 17, 1996, when he was 47 years and 240 days old. Clarke participated in the 1996 World Cup game against New Zealand. Farokh Engineer, who played his maiden game at the age of 36 years and 138 days, is the oldest Indian to make an ODI debut.

John Traicos

He played in the first four Tests for Zimbabwe in 1992, at the age of 45, after making his Test debut for South Africa in the penultimate series they played before being forced into sporting exile in 1969–70. A record-breaking 22 years and 222 days passed between performances.

Norman Gifford

However, Gifford’s time with England was far from ended. At the age of 44, he made his One Day International debut in Sharjah’s 1984–85 “Rothmans Four-Nations Cup” match—extraordinarily as captain—in place of David Gower, who was taking a break.

Rahul Sharma

Former Hong Kong cricketer Rahul Sharma was born on September 14, 1960, in New Delhi. He was a skilled batsman who made his ODI debut at the age of 43 against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup. In the 1986–87 Ranji Trophy match against Himachal Pradesh, he had previously started for Delhi. His sole other first-class performance, after a gap of more than 18 years, was for Hong Kong in the 2005 ICC Intercontinental Cup match against Nepal. 

Khurram Khan

Khurram Khan, a cricketer from Pakistan who represented the national cricket team of the United Arab Emirates, was born on June 21, 1971. Khurram made ODI history in 2014 when his unbroken 132 helped his team defeat Afghanistan by six wickets in Dubai. Khurram was the oldest player to ever hit an ODI hundred. He is thought to be the greatest cricketer to ever represent the United Arab Emirates.
