The National Basketball Association (NBA), professional basketball league in North America constitutes of two conferences: Eastern Conference & Western Conference. Each conference consists of 15 teams divided into three divisions. The three divisions of Eastern Conference area as following:

Atlanta Hawks is one of the southeast divisions of Eastern Conference. It is based in Atlanta. The Eastern Conference of NBA comprises of 15 teams which are as follows:

Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat *, Orlando Magic, and Washington Wizards are Southeast divisions of Eastern Conference. Atlanta Hawks, based in Atlanta, Georgia. The home venue of this team is State farm Arena. This is from where the said team plays its home games.

Atlanta Hawks 

Atlanta Hawks is professional basketball team of America which is based in Atlanta, Georgia. This team competes from as Eastern Southeast Division Conference of National Basketball Association. The associated team colours are:

  • Torch red, 
  • Legacy yellow,
  • Infinity black, 
  • Granite Gray

Landry Fields is the general manager and Nate McMillan is the Head Coach of the said team. The origin of Atlanta Hawks can be traced back to foundation of Buffalo Bismons in 1946. The team got renamed to Tri-Cities Blackhawks after moving to Moline, Illinois. Later they merged with Basketball Association of America (BAA) and NBL and thus became part of NBA. The team changed their name to the Milwaukee Hawks after moving to Milwaukee in 1951. From 1955-1958, they were in St. Louis. In 1958, the group won its only NBA Championship in 1958. It also got qualified in 1957, 1960 and 1961. Known as St Louis Hawks from 1955-1968, the team moved to Atlanta in 1968.  Then from 1968 to present, it is known as Atlanta Hawks. As the location of the team has changed several times over the years, logos and uniforms were also changed accordingly. Here is the list of the last five seasons completed by the Hawks:
