Romelu Lukaku Bolingoli, born 13 May 1993, is a Belgian professional football player who currently plays for Serie A club Inter Milan on loan from Premier League club Chelsea, as well as the Belgium national team. Lukaku started his senior club career with Anderlecht, where he managed to win the Belgian Pro League and was the league’s leading goalscorer. In 2011, he joined Chelsea for £10 million (€12 million), but due to limited playing time, he was loaned to West Bromwich Albion and Everton; in 2014, Lukaku signed with Everton for a then club-record fee of £28 million (€32 million), and went on to complete as the league’s second-highest goalscorer.
He later joined Manchester United in a £75 million (€88 million) transfer, but after falling out with the club, Lukaku left for Inter Milan in 2019 in a club-record contract valued at €80 million (£68.1 million), where he won the Serie A title and was named the Serie A Most Valuable Player. Lukaku decided to return to Chelsea in a club-record £97.5 million (€115 million) transfer in 2021 and became the 7th extravagant player, the most pricey Belgian player, and the most costly player of all time in terms of overall transfer fees.
Lukaku started his football career with Anderlecht, where he scored 33 goals. He also played for Chelsea, where he won the FA Cup in 2011-12. He played for Everton for three years and scored 53 goals. He then joined Manchester United, where he managed to score 42 goals while also winning the Europa League and League Cup.
