Manchester City’s star defender, Kyle Walker, has committed to the club by signing a new contract that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2026, the Premier League outfit has officially announced.

Walker, an integral part of the English national team, was nearing the end of his existing contract, which was set to conclude at the end of the current season. However, the 33-year-old right-back has now extended his stay with the club for an additional two years.

His journey with Manchester City began in 2017 when he transferred from Tottenham Hotspur, and since then, Walker has consistently been one of the club’s standout performers. During his time with City, he has celebrated numerous triumphs, including clinching five Premier League titles.

Kyle Walker boasts an impressive record of 260 appearances for Manchester City. His accolades with the club include five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, two Community Shields, the Champions League, and the Super Cup.

Speaking about his contract extension, Walker expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I’ve enjoyed every single moment of the past six years at this fantastic Club. I have an amazing coach, great team-mates and staff, and our fans are the best. I feel supported on every single level.”

He fondly remembered the Treble-winning season and expressed his eagerness to continue chasing trophies with the club. “The Treble-winning season is one I will never forget, and we’re ready to go again and try to win more trophies. I am delighted to continue at a Club that competes for trophies every year, and I can’t wait to see what the next few years bring,” he added.

Kyle Walker has an extensive career record, having played over 500 matches for various clubs, including Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Sheffield United, Queens Park Rangers, Aston Villa, and Northampton Town.

In addition to his club achievements, Walker has had a successful international career with England, earning 78 caps. He was part of the England squad that reached the final of Euro 2020 and even scored his first international goal in a recent 1-1 draw against Ukraine.
