After battling depression KC Cariappa is ready for Rajasthan Royals

The Indian Premier League of 2021 stars from the 19th of September back from the UAE.  All the preparations going on are underway. It was noted that KC Cariappa is grateful to play for the Rajasthan Royals.

Unfortunately, he did not make it to the Karnataka team earlier this year. Despite doing well last year in Sthe yed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. But after that, things became worse for him. The player says, ”I was just roaming around in Bengaluru and my fitness had taken a toll, but that is when Zubin (Bharucha) sir called me to ask to come for the IPL trials.”

He also shared how it was shocking to be called for a trial. This was because he was lost almost for one year and weighed around 95kgs then. Therefore, extremely unfit and not in the right mental space. Despite that,  KC Cariappa went for the trials and did extremely well there. 

Zubin Bharucha reassured the player about his capabilities. He also motivated him to work on his fitness. Zubin mentioned, ‘“We like your bowling but you have to get your fitness right”

 And that was the moment, an extremely exciting and emotional moment for the player. As a result, he got his motivation back and was able to prove himself, yet again. He was also overjoyed and emotional. Hence, he thanked the entire franchise and all the support staff of the Rajasthan Royals team for helping him in his difficult times.
